dsc00806.jpgThe East Fremantle 16's development squad, who are overseen by former player and now Development Manager Mark Winnett, have begun their 2008 campaign in sensational fashion by having convincing victories over South Fremantle and Subiaco. The team, that have been training together since December, are coached by head coach Murray Glaskin, along with assistants Craig Henson, John Hancock and Mark Murphy.

Winnett, a 33 game veteran for the Sharks and a state player, suggests, "that they are an immensely talented squad who have been training very hard at becoming better footballers. The hard work that the coaching staff have put in over the summer months has started to pay dividends in the first two weeks of the 16's WAFL Carnival".

The results so far in the carnival are a true testament to the Waves Surfwear East Fremantle Football Academy and the hard work that has been put into the players since they entered the Academy as 14 year olds. East Fremantle takes the development of its junior players seriously and has reaped the rewards in recent AFL drafts. The Waves Surfwear East Fremantle Football Academy seeks to;

1.    Optimising AFL draft opportunities
2.
Produce 100 game players for the EFFC
3.
Assisting to develop and create a pathway for Coaches within the East Fremantle District.
